About Our Founder

MIDN 1/C Daisy Zamora

MIDN 1/C Daisy Zamora, a graduate of the Class of 2020 at Notre Dame High School, began her college studies at Stanford University in Physics and Philosophy. Due to financial challenges, she had to pause her studies, but she continued to pursue her passions by enlisting in the U.S. Navy, where she trained to operate the electrical systems of nuclear reactors onboard submarines.

Committed to furthering her education, she later returned to her studies in Astrophysics at the U.S. Naval Academy, earning a Trident Scholar fellowship, participating in internships at NASA-Goddard, and receiving a full scholarship to the University of Cambridge to study Mathematical and Theoretical Physics.

Alongside her academic achievements, MIDN Zamora is dedicated to supporting others, serving with the Navy’s Sexual Assault Prevention and Response team and helping lead the training and education of her peers at the Naval Academy. Upon graduation, she will continue her service in the submarine community, carrying forward her commitment to learning, leadership, and service to others.
